Kondana Soft-furred Rat (Millardia kondana)

The Kondana Soft-furred Rat.

The Kondana Soft-furred Rat is currently listed as an endangered species (2003), and this particular species of rat is also endemic to India. The Kondana Soft-furred Rat was first reported in 1975 by Mishra and Dhanda.

They are from the Muridae family of rats, belonging to the genus Millardia. Rats of this genus are Asian Soft-furred Rats.

They are sometimes also referred to as the Kondana Field Rat.

There has been very little research carried out on this particular species.
